Establishes Chapter in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Under Guro Manny Maer
By Jay de Leon
For a while now, Filipino Fighting Arts Int’l (FFAI) – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has had an active chapter in Jeddah. It is headed by FFAI Guro Manuel Maer, who used to train and teach with Master Godofredo Fajardo while both were still in Riyadh, KSA. Master Godofredo is the current Commissioner of the Middle East for the International Modern Arnis Federation of the Philippines (IMAFP) based in Manila, Philippines.
With the help of Ildefonso Poleros, President of Phil. Karate-do Fed. (PKF) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Guro Manny Maer has been busily conducting regular classes, seminars, demos and tournaments at Jeddah. Poleros is also a licensed International Referee of Karatedo PKF and has his karate roots from Cerilla Karatedo of Cavite City in Cavite, Philippines.
Because of these activities in Jeddah, Master Godofredo Fajardo has commended Guro Manuel Maer for upholding the high standards of FFAI in promoting and teaching Modern Arnis in the Middle East. FFAI would also like to express its gratitude to Sir Ildefonso Poleros for his assistance in promoting arnis together with his core style of karate in Jeddah.
Mabuhay ang arnis at ang Pilipinas!
