Luxid Mini-Reunion at the Alaminos Fiesta
Alaminos, Pangasinan
March 19, 2011, Saturday
At the invitation of two Luxid friends, I made the almost hour long trip to Alaminos, Pangasinan from Binmaley, Pangasinan to celebrate their town fiesta and to hold our first mini-reunion in the Philippines this year. Alaminos, Pangasinan is one of the more progressive cities of the province, thanks to its mayor Hernando “Nani” Braganza, a “Green Man” or a De La Salle University graduate like his cousin, our fellow Luxid Toti Braganza.
The two Luxids who invitedmewere Vic Quimson from the Bay Area in northern California and Atty. Vic Perez from the Los Angeles area in southern California, U.S.A., but both native sons of Alaminos, Pangasinan.
The venue for our mini-reunion was the gaily festooned auditorium of Alaminos, complete with a live band on stage. Food and drinks were plentiful at our table, with a Jose Cuervo Especial as the main course, courtesy of Atty. Vic Perez, who had reserved a table for us and other guests.
Other than Vic Quimson and myself, Atty. Vic Perez had several other guests at his table, including a couple of dancing beauties and a few influential citizens of the town. Fueled by the main course, we all joined the dancing crowd in a few numbers from the live band.
In quieter moments, we caught up with each other’s activities both in the United States and the Philippines. We also planned several reunions in Manila with other Luxids, as well as some eco-tours in some uncharted waters somewhere.
It was great seeing old friends in such a festive occasion.

polished it off.
