But I am getting ahead of myself. Anyway, the trip started with Manny and Johnny picking me up from my house in the city of Westminster, in Orange County, California.

de rigueur in California.

This is Jay’s 5-bedroom bachelor pad while in California.
After the usual pleasantries and trip to the bathroom, we piled into Manny’s jalopy and headed to Venice Beach, California,
By the way, this is actually the second annual beach tour for the three of us. Last year, we took a similar topless beach cruise, starting from Manhattan Beach down the coastline.

That area with the blue fence is Muscle Beach at Venice Beach, California.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and his buddy Franco Columbo used to pump weights
there when they were new in America—homeless and jobless. Only in capitalist
America. The guy with the white hat on the left is Muscle Man Jay de Leon.

A typical showdown (pose down?) at Muscle Beach. Manny Tiangha claims
he used to look like that in his youth—the third picture.

of the heart of anti-Bush Luxids, particularly amo Jake Campomanes.

in Venice, California.

This is the patio portion of the restaurant. You can see the
street name at the left corner. I believe it is “Abbot Kinney.”
